We dream and work towards a world where people of all genders and sexualities have an equal share of opportunities to tell their own stories and write their own destinies. More than different representations in media, we seek to transform media systems to be more equitable, critical, and caring.
Feminist Media Lab (FemmeLab) is a community-centered organization focused on: (1) designing participatory media processes so that women and LGBTQI+ people can voice out their own agenda and claim space for their desires; and (2) facilitating consciousness-raising using creative media to cultivate feminist imaginations and critical thinking.
More about usOur work is geared towards creating and driving impact on the areas of media production, empowerment of women and LGBTQI+ people, feminist organizing, and feminist knowledge production.
We help mainstream gender and SOGIE to organizations and media practitioners through custom-designed toolkits, modules, and learning experiences
We support feminist organizations and gender advocates in leveraging media for their advocacy work through media co-productions and knowledge sharing
We empower diverse groups of feminists, women, and LGBTQI+ people through creative media workshops
We develop and implement feminist media practices and processes that would help create a more equitable, critical, and caring media system
